what's the scariest thing for college students? PARENTS' WEEKEND

Well it's that time again...parents' weekend. I haven't seen my parents since September when I moved in and my feelings are mixed.

I'm exicted that they are coming to see me tomorrow and that we will get to spend a lot of time together. I definitely miss my parents when I'm away and it's just fun when it's the three of us because I'm always myself around them. I never need to pretend to be anyone else because they are always so proud of me no matter what I do.

I guess the reason I am unhappy about the visit is because I fear that it will make me home sick. I have not seen my sisters since September and I definitely miss them, possibly even more than I miss my parents. It's difficult now that they are married and living their own lives but I think seeing my parents will just remind me of how little I've gotten to see my sisters. Plus, I do miss my friends and other family too. My friends are so excited for Thanksgiving because they think we are going to spend all of our time together but I plan on spending as much time possible with my sisters. I know my friendships are very important and some of my friends are close enough to be family but in reality, they aren't family. My sisters and I are going to face a lot of challenges as we continue to grow up (but to never grow apart!) and so I want to take any opportunity I get to spend time with them.

I can only hope for the best.
