When have you been the most at peace?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 19, 2008:

I wish I had some profound answer of sitting on a beach watching a sunset but I don't. At this point in my life, I'm a very simple person and simple joys make me happy. The other day I was sitting with my boy-friend (not quite a friend yet not quite a boyfriend...general problem for the life of a 20 year old) and we had just had an intense lifechat. I suddenly felt like I understood some of the complexities in his life and he just sat there holding me close and not saying a word.

The thing that really made this the first time I've been most at peace: for the first time in my entire 20 and a half years, I was finally comfortable in silence.

Don't you just love when something is reaffirmed?

I wrote in my last thing that I felt at peace when relaxing with a guy who is very important to me. Tonight, he and I were talking on the phone and he told me that he really enjoyed being with me last week and that one of his favorite parts was just being able to relax with me.

Perhaps we are more connected than the two of us truly realize.
